(posted this in cornell forum too but no responses)

How does Cornell recalculate your GPA? Is it based on an unweighted 4.0 scale for ONLY academic classes? (i.e. Computer Repair class would not count)

Also, do they count freshmen year?
I received a 3.33 in academic classes and 3.5 overall
and 3.6 sophomore year.

Am I out for sure now?

ask cornell! call em up

what do you mean? why would you call cornell for admissions....that's what the application is for no?

No you call Cornell to ask them questions about their program and about their specific admissions process...or you ask them when you visit...duh...

the application is about You getting into Cornell. Calling them to ask a question is completely diff

most selected schools use an unweighted gpa. There is already an expectation that you are taking the most rigerous courses that your school offers so they don't give you "extra" credit for doing so.

so do they count freshmen year or no?

cornell does count freshman year
