i've been looking in to santa clara as a safety school because it has one of the most amazingly beautiful campuses i've ever seen, right after the university of san diego but it takes a lot to beat spanish baroque resting atop a bluff over looking the pacific ocean, and also because my cousin's wife went there and she said the quality of the education she had was superb. how would you comparitavely rank it, i've heard some claim that it's at the level of uc davis, uc santa barbara, and uc irvine, would you agree? thanks a bunch to anybody who can lend me some wisdom!

yeah that sounds about right but its hard to say. i would put it around boston university's rank.

is scu ahead or above of the university of miami because that along with pepperdine are two other colleges i'm considering applying to as safeties

oh also i was looking at the peer assessment score of santa clara and compared it to some others and saw it scored 3.8 which is the same as washington and lee, better than the college of the holy cross, equal to uc davis, and better than case western reserve university so is it in about the same league as these colleges? i know that peer assessment really doesn't matter all that much but it does roughly reflect what tier a school is, at least i think.

I think that that sounds about right, but I kind of think that Holy Cross and Washington and Lee might be a rank or two higher, nothing major just as far as prestige goes I think SCU is just a little lower than those two but a little higher than UCD and Miami but about equal with Pepperdine and Case Western. and yeah the campus is beautiful huh my mom works in San Jose and we've visited the campus a couple of times and it's just plain gorgeous no doubt about it and the student body isn't too ugly either
