How does self studying for an AP test look on your college applications?

I am not talking about random AP tests whose sole purpose is to bulk up your schedule, I am talking about AP tests that prove your knowledge for a subject that you are interested in.
I am going to be a junior next year and I want to take the AP calculus BC test as a junior inorder to go to post ap math courses senior year. I am not allowed to enroll in the class for next year because my school requires me to take precalc first. I learned precalc on my own because algebra II / trigonometry was going really slow for me. Although I was restricted from the class, I am not restricted from the test, which if I do well in, I'll be able to take the courses I want senior year.

I’m not sure I really understand. It sounds like your getting ahead of yourself in math, but still doing well. I don’t really know how to respond to that except that a college will care if you pass the exam or not credit wise, other than that I don’t think it matters. Studying for the exam yourself isn’t really like an EC if thats what your getting at. I’m also not sure how you can’t take the class but can take the exam, since I’m sure a college would like to see the actual class on your transcript with a nice grade. I could be wrong, but I don’t necessarily see anything amazing coming out of that circumstance.
