How does Stanford feel about AP Credits?

So I have several APs coming up (like most accepted students I imagine) and heard a rumor from a friend that Stanford is not the most generous when it comes to accepting credits?

Please help - I would like to start with credits, but I would also not like to ruin my late April for nothing.

This is all on their website

Care to summarize? pweeeeeze jason?

Littledot - One thing you should remember when you get there - whatever they give you credit for as listed in the above link, make sure you never take the class you are getting credit for or else your credit goes away, replaced by the class. i know at least one kid who made this mistake as per the parent.

f****. now I have to study.

AP doesn’t matter much. They won’t help you graduate faster/make much room for other courses. You’ll probably forget about’em mid-way during sophomore year.

Most students derive AP benefit from passing out of the foreign language requirement :D
