Hi guys! I'm currently a sophomore in high school and I was curious about how Stanford looks at high school transcripts when evaluating high school applicants. I understand from their website that they consider +'s and -'s when calculating a current undergraduate's GPA, but I was wondering if they did the same with a high school applicant's? Thanks!

The only thing for certain that I know is your grades through freshman year will be looked at but ignored for decisionmaking. Are you talking about A-, B+ etc?

Yeah, I currently have mostly A’s on my transcript but one A-. I was just curious if this would affect anything regarding my GPA.

Why would they even look at the freshman year grades then? Of course it would affect their decision.
