Our school is going through a curriculum change. It used to be this:
9 - Honors World Cultures
10 - AP Euro
11 - APUSH
12 - AP US Gov (half-year)

Now:
9 - AP World
10 - APUSH
11 - AP US Gov (with some economics stuff)
12 - elective

AP electives are now AP Euro, AP Psych, AP Art History, AP Comp Gov, and AP Micro/AP Macro.

9th: Honors World History
APUSH is a two-year course at my school, so…
10th: APUSH 1
11th: APUSH 2
12th: elective (AP Psych, AP Euro, AP Gov’t & Politics, D/E Intro to Psychology, or D/E Intro to Sociology)

Here’s how it goes at my school normally, but of course there are exceptions:

8th Grade: US History (1600s-Civil War) (middle school)
9th Grade: Regular or Honors US History (Civil War-Present) OR AP US History
10th Grade: Regular or Honors Government OR AP Gov
11th Grade: Regular or Honors World History OR AP World

We only need three years of history, but a lot of seniors take AP Euro as an elective. Also, a lot of kids seem to take AP Gov without taking APUSH, and then take APUSH as seniors.

It changed after my freshmen year, so my track is different than the students a year younger than me.

Track available to me:
9th grade: World Studies or Honors World Studies (both had a quarter each of World History, World Geography, World Religions, and Current World Events)
10th grade: Economics (semester only, Honors not offered)
11th grade: US History or AP US History
12th grade: Political Participation, Constitutional Law, or AP US Government (1 semester each)
At least one semester of a social studies elective is required at some point during high school, it can be an extra semester of a government course in 12th grade, Psychology, AP Psychology, or Archeology. Current Social Issues would fulfill that requirement as well but it was only offered the first two years.

Track Available Now:
9th Grade: Civics and World Geography or Pre-AP Civics and Pre-AP World Geography (1 semester each)
10th grade: World History or Pre-AP World History
11th grade: US History or AP US History
12th grade: Political Participation, Constitutional Law, or AP US Government
Psychology, AP Psychology, and Archeology are available as electives but not required.
