Obviously when I participated in this, I didn't think of college admissions loll. but out of curiosity, is say winning "miss talent" and first runner up something worthy of writing if you won a state beauty pageant? I am also curious because I am filling out apps for some unique summer programs and I am wondering if this is something I should list or if it makes me look bad?

I have great grades (5.7 GPA out of 5 - rank #3 out of almost 530 people) and other great ecs with strong leadership roles and an internship experience last summer , so I am hoping that I defy the typical blonde/dumb pageant girl ( i am not even blonde loll)

I think its a good thing. It’s unique and it shows how you’re outgoing.

Send me some pictures, then we’ll talk ;).

It could be interesting if you don’t come across as superficial and interested in getting ahead on your looks. I know a couple of state beauty contest winners who are very modest, thoughtful, and smart. I also heard of a state beauty contest winner with sky high scores who didn’t get into an Ivy because at her interview, she acted like she was God’s gift. In addition, she stupidly went to an interview on a snowy day wearing high heeled shoes. She apparently looked like an idiot wearing them while walking up the interviewer’s snow covered driveway. While there’s lots of flexibility in appropriate attire for college interviews, it’s not a good idea to wear something that indicates that one lacks common sense.
