How does your high school calculate GPA?

My high school only weigh AP class grades which mean you can have 6 honor classes and the highest you can get is a 4.0. But I heard other high schools weigh honor classes as well, which is the one that colleges, mainly UCs and Ivies, use?

My school weights an A in normal classes as 4.0, honors classes 5.0, and AP classes 6.0.

My high school is on a 5 point system, and normal class As are 5.0, while honors and AP As are 6.0.

Yeah, my school doesn't convert to 4.0; we just stay with percentages.
For weighting, they multiply honors classes by 1.03 and AP classes by 1.06.
I'm pretty sure that the Ivies recalculate your GPA based on their standards (i.e., usually unweighted). Don't worry about it.

Yea I'm just interested because on the chance forums here a 4.5 from a school that counts honors as 5 and APs as 6 would be super inflated compared to my school's GPA.

My school uses a 4.0 scale for regular classes and a 5.0 scale for honors and AP classes.
