I submitted my application like 3 weeks ago and got the response e-mail that you're supposed to receive 15 business days later. I have the wolverine access account. Once school starts for me on Sept. 8th, I plan to have my transcript sent on the first day and I'll ask my teachers for recs.

If I were to get my recs and transcripts in by mid September, how quickly should I expect a response? I really want to go to Michigan bad and after I did a summer camp there, I know for sure it's my top choice. I just hope I get in.

The earliest you could hear back is Oct. 31. If your stats are more borderline, you could hear back later. This is assuming UMich releases their decisions the same way they did last year.

Even if you did submit everything by mid-September (trying to get your teachers to do up your recs in about a week might be unreasonable especially if you’re seeking to get a good quality one), Michigan’s website clearly states that:

So by the time your entire application is in and the review can begin, it may be early October-ish. Based on that, if you’re an obvious case, I’d guess second to third week of November. Though as yosup says, if you’re borderline, your app will be placed aside for a tad longer.
