How early do I need to apply?

To anyone not watching the game right now...
My friends have told me that UT that applying earlier helps because UT does rolling admissions and all, but does it really help?
Besides getting accepted, how long do I have before dorms like San Jac/Duren fill up?

Thanks

bump, last one thread on the page : </p>

I will tell you that no matter what, you should apply as early as possible. Yes, UT will tell you within a few weeks of processing your application, and yes places like San Jac and Duren do fill up earlier than say Simkins or Jester, but that isn’t why (there are some people who applied later and got to live in San Jac and Duren). Applying earlier takes a whole lot of pressure off of your senior year, giving you alot more time to enjoy your last year of high school, not only that, but if your not 10% applying early will increase your odds of getting in. But I can’t completely answer your last question on how early San Jac and Duren fill up (I live in neither and probably was one of the few that didn’t request either just because I didn’t wanna pay extra for a bathroom, like thousands extra).

I would definitely apply as early as possible. If you’re not top 10%, then only 25% of the competitive schools is reserved for non top 10ers. Also, if you are top 10%, the same goes for you. I’m pretty sure that they reserve on a first come first serve basis 75% of a school, so if you apply too late, you lose either way.
