2 hr or 5 and a half hour flight depending on where I get in :P.

7 hr drive.

About 1 hour and a half. I was going to live at home...but it would have been to hard. I am gonna go home on most weekends and holidays though

About 3 hours, plan on coming home for breaks. My intention is to stay at school on regular weekends as much as possible, especially in the beginning so that I can get used to living on campus.

Gee I thought I was thinking no one would be going much closer to home than me. I guess not. 3 1/2 hours with decent traffic. And I don't plan on going home other than Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. I really want to get the whole college experience and I'm just really ready to get away from home.

837 miles. 2 hour flight (+taxi to/from campus and security checkin) or 13.5 hr drive. Only home for Tgiving, Christmas/break.

7-8 hour drive (CT to Washington, DC). I will only be going home during the major breaks, similar to lots of people here (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc...)

10-15 minutes with minimal traffic, 30 minutes with traffic. I plan to at least stop by every weekend, but try to limit the amount of time I stay over at home so I can be more social/active at school.

About 6 hrs by plane (San Francisco to New York).

1000+ miles or 12-15 hrs from Charlottsville to Missouri

about 2 and 1/2 hours by plane

10 hours... on a plane (california to S.Korea) XP I meet my parents about once a year (summer breaks)

Well see it used to be longer (like 24 hours connecting planes and everything) but now i get direct flights because i'm in LA yay!

Same as misterme2009

About an hour and a half away from home. College Station, TX to Houston

1400+ (Boston, to South Florida)
3 hours on a plane (which is what I keep telling my mom - it's less travel time than a drive to any of the in state schools I might have gone to)
23 hours driving

I'll be at least a 9 hour flight away from my parents, plus an hour and a half drive on each side. I'll see them at Christmas and in the summer.

Almost 1,300 miles, nearly 21 hours driving or nearly 3 hours by plane...

And to think, my family briefly flirted with the idea of driving up there.

Little Over 2 Hours

I'm 1000 miles away, 16 hours driving or 2.5 hours flying.

20-24 hrs flight...depending on transit time..

10000 miles. India. Long Long Flight. :(
