How far can the quaker connection take you?

Well obviously the school is a quaker institution, so if you were a quaker, how far would that connection take you?
Thanks

It is not a "quaker institution", but it is proud of it's quaker roots, and quaker affiliation does help in admissions (you still have to be qualified academically) -- probably a "tip factor", similar to legacy...

Oh, sorry for the mislabel. I was thinking that also, but of course, you always have to be academically qualified.

According to the Admissions Office, Quaker affiliation is a small factor in admissions. Far less than legacy status or other "tips".

It's like anything else: a Quaker experience may give an applicant some way to tie their interests to the specific qualities of Swarthmore in an effective way...in the essays or whatever.
