I’m 5’6 and 110 pounds. Im a girl and I do aerobics to keep me lean so I don’t bulk up.
But I also don’t eat a lot honestly. I do try to gain weight, but I just can’t eat. I get stomachaches when I eat.

I don’t really see what wrong with a girl bulking up…not like Arnold Swartenahdbfrkrfb but like its ok to look athletic especially when you do athletics like soccer, track, volleyball, etc :)

I think I’m 5’5 and weigh about 107 pounds… yes, I’m kind of small… :(

I eat a ton actually, but never gain weight. My doctor recommended me some weight thing to help gain weight and etc. It didn’t really work. One of these days, when I get older, this high metabolism thing will catch up on me lol.

and poof! a beached whale! i always tell my sister that. she’s the skinniest thing…smh

5’6" 93 lbs

5’3 and 140. My BMI says I’m borderline overweight, but I say I’m fine. Some of you are really skinny. Jeeez.

5’9 130 pounds. (Guy) Quite the twig if I say so myself.

@Shadow I know! I’m seeing all these stats and I’m like o.O

another skinny person… 5’8 124 lbs.

6’ 5" and usually between 215 and 225 pounds.

BMIs are stupid. I do not think they are designed for people who work out.

5’10". 145-155 lbs. (5-9% body fat) during wrestling season, 170-175 lbs. (14-19% body fat) off seaseon.

^^ you are right about that i think. it’s inversely proportional to the square of the height instead of what logically people argue should be the cube. so the calculation is sort of skewed to the right for taller people.

anyway, i think us being lower bmi (on average) might have to do with our socioecomic statuses? I went to a public school from k-8th and the average BMI was way higher there then in the expensive college-prep highschool i went to. I was really astounded that there were only 1-3 /400 ‘fat’ kids.

perhaps admissions people were biased against admitting overweight kids? that seems unlikely.

@Niquii
Agreed. I’m pretty proud of running a 10 minute mile. I also hope the people here with a BMI under 17 aren’t anorexic or something… it’s not healthy.

@ShadowMist
Yes, I completely agree! I am actually the same height as you, and I feel so out of place on this thread BMI-wise.

5’4" and 108… I’m a guy, by the way. I gained 5 lbs when I moved in with my best friend. =P I weigh 112 after a day with lots of good food. Most of that weight is muscle… I’m the skinniest guy most people that I know know, but I do wish I could lose the 5ish pounds of belly fat I have. I’m still super skinny, it just annoys me not to have a perfectly flat tummy. I love food way too much for that to happen though. =P

I saw someone above me say something about running a 10 minute mile… Mine’s a 6:42. (:

now, no one is under 17 here as far as i can tell. let’s calm down :).

JimboSteve you’re 6’5?? awhh maahh gawwwdd

Everyone at my public school, with very few exceptions, is a healthy weight. I think this is largely due to the fact that the closest fast food place (I will not call it a restaurant) is 15-20 mins away. Also, given my town’s generally high socioeconomic status, parents are aware of the dangers of bad food and people can afford to eat healthy.

On another note, BMI simply using height and weight is probably not designed for those who work out. If there is no differentiation between weight of muscle and weight of fat then the scale is essentially useless. 10 lbs of muscle is clearly better than 10 lbs of fat, but BMI doesn’t take that into account.

EDIT: Also, 5:55 min mile master race. (I think we can agree that anything under 6:30 is master race material).

My public school has a lottttt of really fat people, by the way.

I’m 5’0 I’m 107 but I’m in tennis soccer and softball I work out alot but I also eat a lot I’m pretty lean living the so cal lifestyle :)
