So am fascinated about the online courses and certification these days. More so after earning a certificate from Harvard through <a href=“http://www.Edx.org%5B/url%5D”>http://www.Edx.org</a>
I got the honor code certificate. Does it hold any value?

I doubt it.
I would be interested for some mid-career professionals, human resource managers or those looking for career changes to chime in… and leave the canned one liners for some other threads.
I have been looking into online executive education certificates through Medoza College of Business - Univ of Notre Dame, eCornell and the California State Univ system (all around 3 - 6k). The long shot, given its price tag of 10k is the strategic management certificate from Harvard Extension School, Harvard University. As my undergrad really doesn’t do anything but occupy a line on a resume, I wanted to add some real business training to my CV to accompany a strong amount of upper level wine and spirits certifications. I am also looking for a position with a company that will eventually pay for a top notch online EMBA program, so I would like to show potential employers that I am ready and worthy of their assistance for such an endeavor.
I spoke with the HR director for my hotel, one of the nicest establishments in the country, and she was very aware of these programs and said that they are great at strategically adding some depth to a CV, and shows a willingness to be trained in other areas of management and business operations.
I would love to hear from anyone involved as a teacher, student or those doing research on the topics I have put forth.
Warm regards,
me
