Guys! I was wondering how good are the scores: 36M, 30S, 28E, 25R , Composite: 30? With these scores, which colleges most likely matches me? My stats are: GPA : 3.6/4 un-weighted, SAT Subject test scores: 800 physics, 800 math level 2, 790 chemistry; and i have a silver medal of international physics olympiad, and i was the national winner of national physics olympiad, i have taught in one of the community schools of my area, and i have few other eca's. I'm in top 5% of the graduating class.

I’d say that you should play your strengths. A 30 is on the bottom rung of Top 20 schools standardized test scores. If you have the chance to improve it, do so. If not, as I said, play on your strengths. Your involvement with physics is far more interesting.

Thanks! My choices are: u chicago, u washington st. Louis, georgetown, and few top Lacs. What do you think are my safeties?

“i have a silver medal of international physics olympiad”

Are you talking about the IPO?

@20more: Yes!! And I won it this year in Thailand :42nd IPO

U Chicago is a very high reach with 30ACT and 3.6UW.
However, I think you have decent chances at UChicago because of the award.

You might have decent chances at MIT and Cal Tech.

Good luck to you!

@20MORE: thanks!!

UChicago doesn’t put too much value on testing - as long you have other things, you’ll be fine. Especially the essay is really important for them

Any one more interested to chance me?

I applied to MIT and Caltech as well.Do I have any chances in these two colleges?
