Quoting Cali Trumpet from a UC Davis thread:

Waits for the SLOites to invade the Davis forum to pull random facts out of their arsses as to why SLO >Davis

Congrats, you guys (SLOites) are well known for being ■■■■■■ on College Confidential. Keep showing us how classy you are. XD

I didn’t respond to this thread as a ■■■■■ to inflame the CPP vs CP issue. And thank you for recognizing that I am trying to be reasonable or civil.

As I said, in my pretty decent size circle of classmates/friends at CP, CPP just doesn’t come up. You can either take my word for it or not.

CP doesn’t see CPP as a rival because there is no rivalry to drum up. It is sort of like USCS and UCI and UCSB aren’t rivals. Or SJSU and SFSU and SDSU aren’t rivals. They all just do their own little thing happily without too much concern for one another. That’s the atmosphere in the CP student population. If you are ever in SLO and bring up the CPP rivalry issue, students will more likely to say “ahhh, is there such a thing?”

I think in general, CP students will more likely be snobbish about some other random school issue than about CPP. CP students get worked up about being thought of as a small town cow school or we are crap at liberal arts, or we are a racist school. All of which are self-centered, I agree, but it goes to prove we are self-centered, not hell bent against CPP. Just may be they will complain about UCSB or UCD (on VERY rare occasion, because they are a cow school like us) or something else more passionately, but even that is a long shot.

Wait, you are quoting a person from the Davis board that was flaming Cal Poly being elitist to prove that Cal Poly is elitist ?

Ahhhhh, I am not sure what to say about that line of logic.
