I'm an incoming Junior and I'm going to do the IB Diploma. This is my schedule:

IB English HL
IB Math SL (2nd year)
IB History of the Americas
IB Biology HL
French 3
TOK/Band (TOK for 2 trimesters/Band for 1 trimester if it works)

It would also be great if people provided online resources for the IB classes.

*I already posted this in the IB forums, but more people come through here

Depends on the school/teacher. I know at my school the IB classes are mostly taught with AP classes.

Next year I plan to take AP/IB econ and IB enviro, IB envrio is pretty easy!

Hi!

Are you aiming for the full IB diploma? Because you only listed 4 IB subjects, and are required to take 6 - including 3 HL courses.

EDIT: Just read your other thread. Seems like your school is splitting the courses over two years.

From my experience, it is possible to finish a course in one year (I did Chemistry SL and ITGS SL in one year), however, I really hope you have good teachers - or else you’ll suffer.

I also took English A HL, Biology HL, Business HL, Arabic A SL, and Math SL. Those subjects were a lot better because they were spaced over two years.

My hardest courses were Arabic, Math, and English. Don’t think Eng. will be a walk in the park… it WILL make your brain hurt. And at the end you have, along with two written exams, an oral test which is horrible.

All these courses also have internal assessments (IA’s) which are due senior year that you should NOT procrastinate. The Math IA was the most fun for me.

And don’t forget your community service hours (150 h), extended essay (4000 words), and TOK essay.

In conclusion, IB will be strenuous no matter what subjects you take, but in the VERY end, you’ll realize it’s worth it. I have TONS of resources, so feel free to PM me!
