How hard is English 125?

How hard will English 125 be for someone who struggled with English in HS(I got B's in regular English classes/ not even honors, with SAT CR660 WR690)

It's pretty much a toss-up, depending on whether you're a good writer or not. Reading skill is not as important, but still necessary. Your high school grades and SAT scores have very little (but some, nonetheless) correlation with your writing ability.

Since English 125 involves peer feedback, you'll quickly find out that some people at Michigan absolutely suck at writing while others are very good at it. You'll fit into one of those camps.

English 125 involves a pretty good amount of writing, which can shock some freshmen. You'll probably be writing 1 to 3 pages (double spaced, Times New Roman) for every class meeting, along with several essays of 2 to 15 pages in length. Just be ready to work hard and put in the time. Don't hesitate to go to office hours because every English professor will be happy to tell you exactly what you need to do to improve with your writing.

Yeah you'll have to work quite hard at English 125 to get a good grade. Definitely seek out a good professor since that matters a lot as classes are small. Most professors are very willing to help out during office hours with suggestions for your improvement. I don't think the SAT scores are good indicators of your success in English 125. Perhaps the most important think in writing an essay for the class is the re writing and editing which you have to constantly do.

Write you eessay, get peer feedback, edit it once, send it to sweetland writing centre get feedback , edit it again, take it to your professor to discuss, edit it again. sumbit final draft! get an A!

It completely depends on which professor you have.

English 125 is pretty easy. We only had to write 4 papers.

4 papers for a whole semester? My 3rd grade english class was harder than that.
