How Hard is Indiana? GPA Scale bothers me?

I am just kinda of scared now that i see this GPA Scale they have at indiana:

<a href="http://registrar.indiana.edu/%7Eregistra/gpacal.shtml%5B/url%5D">http://registrar.indiana.edu/~registra/gpacal.shtml</a></p>

3.7 for an A-?!?! 2.7 for a B-??! I suppose this could work in your favor if you got a B+, but this is odd.

Any alumni or current students can compare their high school to college scale. Since my schedule is between 9-2 each day (with classes and lots of gaps in between), i plan to study/classes during that time... hopefully thats enough?

Hopefully, I dont party too hard.

Thanks,
Sam

tats how my brother's school works A is a 3.8+ A- 3.6.-3.7 etc. yea how hard are the classes, specifically the business ones.

That's just a standard scale, nearly all schools use something like that, I know that at my school a A- was a 3.666 and a B+ was a 3.333

They lured a bunch of kids in with scholarships and honors college requirements that made them maintain a 3.0 GPA. I'm sure that a B average can't be that hard to maintain, considering how many students need to keep those scholarships.

In 2001 it was reported that the average GPA was 3.11. At nearly every school the average raises each year, so it's probably around 3.2. I wouldn't worry about grading, although I do know that in general private schools give kids higher GPAs than public schools.

Well, certain professors are obviously tougher than others if you check out their grade reports (it's on the IUB website).

But like A2Wolves said, it's 3.11 overall--so it's not as easy as Harvard or Princeton (where people are known to coast through), but it's not as tough as a place like Purdue, NYU, or USC (which are known for their tough grading).
