<p>Search the forum / stats profiles / 'actual results' thread. There are many OOSers who get in.</p>
<p>The OOS acceptance rate is about 20% (despite the fact that the OOS applicant pool is self-selective), and OOS admits make up about 10% of the total admits. Berkeley considers in-state residency to be "very important," on par with GPA, rigor of course load, and essays.</p>
