My estimations...

Minimum SAT: High 1300s
GPA: 3.8+
SAT IIs: No idea, just keep 'em high...

Wooooo... man you have to be almost perfect in everything to get in to this school.... like extra curriculars, Transcript, GPA, Rank, recommendations, etc. It has gotten very competitive.

I plan on trying to receive a Softball Scholarship. Gonna be tough but im going to give it all i got!

nah. I had a 3.6 out of state and took act instead of sat and yup.

got in

NY applicant here (rejected)

1400/2120, 710, 750 on SAT IIs.
UC GPA was I think 4.0 (W), UW maybe 3.9 or 3.8?

Well, I was rejected.
I admit my essays were HORRIBLE.

woa... my sat IIs were much worse

I'm an anomaly.

839 out of staters? wow... i wonder what the yield rate is...

Wow... my last post in this thread was from 2004...

Anyways, here are my revised (Fall 2006) estimates for the high school stats required for UCLA out-of-state admission. They're derived from the stats posted by out-of-state admits back in the "admission decisions" thread...[list=0]

[]2100 SAT I
[]730/730 SAT IIs
[]3 AP scores of 4/5

Yes, it is competitive, but don't let that stop you from applying. I almost didn't apply because I thought my stats weren't good enough. Everyone told me I wouldn't get in, but I did and it's where I'm attending.
SAT 2010/1390
ACT 31
SAT II 710 680
GPA w 3.9
I think it was my essays that got me in
