How hard is it to attain a 4.0 gpa in community college? Is it especially hard for engineering?

4.0 at CC is simple as long as ur major is liberal arts. engineering, sciences... those are much more difficult, pretty much 4-year level difficulty

We had a thread on this. It depends on how smart u are and ur work ethic, the CC that u go to.

Yes i think it's very very dificult for engineering major.

For people actually trying to succeed in a community college, i would say it is pretty easy to get A's in classes like economics, sociology, psychology, english, etc etc. However, the science classes (and i don't mean the hardcore intro. classes) can be pretty tricky and are by no means easy A's. If you want an A, you have to work hard for it. Same goes with math.

That's just my opinion from experience.

it really depends, my physics prof said he gives very few As and he thinks a C reflects that you worked hard in his course. on the other hand u have profs that simply dont care and will give u an A even if u didn't do anything in their class. so it all boils down to what profs u get for your courses. sometimes u will get lucky and get an easy grader, but in general those are the classes where u don't learn crap.

if u want an easy A go for the part-time profs (they are in it for the benefits and extra cash, they couldn't care less about teaching). if u want a bit of a challenge go for the full-time profs.
