This was kind of off-topic from my other thread so I felt like I had to make a new one. Anyways. I have been admitted to the College of Communications with an undeclared major. I definitely want to major in something within that school, though I'm still not sure exactly what. How hard would it be for me to change majors WITHIN the College of Communications? Is it a difficult process?

I’m going to piggyback on this thread and ask whether it is hard to change majors in Cockrell School of Engineering (I was accepted to Chemical Engineering back in November).

My freshman ChE major, was surprised you were already accepted to the Chemical Engineering program. They tell the students that rolling admissions are not done.

During the summer orientation how to transfer majors will be addressed. The time to do it is in the fall when there is a transfer orientation meeting. This is quite common.

Even if you don’t transfer, you can take the courses for your the major you would like as a freshman. If you want to be a Petroleum Engineer, you can register for the courses for that major.
