Both will be competitive since UCSD is know as a STEM campus but there is no specific data to indicate the # of applicants by major vs. admitted applicants.
UCSD also admits into the University first then into the major so there is a chance you will be admitted to UCSD but not in your choice major.
Overall, UCSD is one of the top UC’s so you should consider it very competitive, especially with a record # of applicants this year.
