How hard is this schedule?

I am looking at taking next semester:

ENGR 100
EECS 280
MATH 286
MATH 217

But I'm concerned that that's too hard of a schedule. I am looking at going to a community college for 2 semesters to save some money, but my advisor said I might want to look at doing that this summer and next fall (as opposed to this winter and sumer as I was planning) so I won't have issues getting into ENGR 100. I'm looking for a schedule which has classes that won't transfer from the community college (Differential equations will but I want to take an honors version of it...). However, at the community college, I could take differential equations and linear algebra, and this class should be significantly easier seeing the material a 2nd time. I would also want to take linear algebra at the community college because I get transfer credit for MATH 214 for it.

So, any advice? Specifically how hard is that schedule, how much easier would it be if I had seen some of the material for those two classes before, and how hard is it to get into ENGR 100 as a sophomore returning from not being a student at Michigan for a semester?

I just noticed 286 was 3 credits, not 4. So I would want to tack on PHIL 414 as well (which is also 3 credits).

One thing I heard was that courses with “Math” or “Logic” in the title (and 414 is called “Math Logic”) will not count for humanities credit in some departments. Anyone know which ones?

And one more… Why is 286 3 credits while 216 and 256 are 4?

Oh, one more. Looking at the courses, maybe it would be better to take 316 instead of 286?

Very difficult. ENG 100 and EECS 280 are both very time consuming. Unless you’re a very good programmer, taking these two classes together would be hard. I’m not familiar with 286 or 217, but I don’t find math classes to be too time consuming in general. I would pick between 100 and 286, and then tack on PHIL 414.
