I am international student at UVA, and I'm going to transfer to Berkeley. As of right now, I have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. I am a rising second-year. What else would improve my chances to transfer into Berkeley?

Is that University of Virginia, the second-ranked public school?

Why would you want to transfer into Berkeley?

Maybe because Berkeleyis the number 1 ranked public school. Or maybe rankings don't matter one way or the other and tenniscraze would just rather be at Cal.

Yes, UVA - University of Virginia, just about the school also ranked second for its undergrad business program recently. I like being in California and I can't stand how conservative UVA is, including how uncaring they are about their workers. For example, the recent living wage campaign arrested students after 4 days of sit-in and the president of the university was the one that got them arrested.

someone help me?

You'll need to ace next semester and apply later, a 3.0 freshman year at UVA is a bit low for transferring to Cal. Are you on the tennis team at UVA, or do you have other good selling points in your application?

I think the only semester I CAN ace is next semester, since it will be the last opportunity to show another set of grades before I send my transcript off at the end of the coming fall semester. I mean I can't transfer into senior year can I? Or should I just apply to transfer for Spring semester third year? I am not on the tennis team, but I have done things like work for UNESCO and being the secretary of Queer Allied and Activism. Other than that, I reprsented my school in the South-east asian competition for int'l schools when I was a junior in the past....
