So my parents say that bc I’m asian, i need to get at least a 1580 (on the new SAT) if I wanna clear the academic expectations for a top 10 school
I’m not sure if this is true… Wouldn’t it be more around like 1520-ish? Bc I honestly don’t think the difference between a 1530 and a 1580 matter all that much (for example)
Just try your very best, and every time you take it, try to improve your score by 20-80 points, and try scoring at least 1500 at the end of the multiple SATs.
The difference is there, it could be the only thing that they reject you for, but I do agree that the difference is much smaller than some other factors, although just trying the best you possible can is the best way to go.
Just try your best. If you have a score over 1500, it PROBABLY won’t be the reason a school rejects you.
