I'm a fall 2015 comp sci applicant but most of my pre reqs will be completed by the end of summer 2015. I talked to a UCI representative today but she said that typically, only classes up to spring count.

I was extremely anxious because that means I had to spend another year completing the pre reqs, but she offered me a solution. She said that I needed to complete a few calc courses to even be eligible to transfer for comp sci, but for a major called "Informatics," only one stats class was needed, and this is something I can finish by spring.

Since Informatics is in the same general area as comp sci (both part of the Donald Bren school of CS) , I'd have a pretty good chance of switching majors. So my question is, how impacted is UCI's informatics division?

Also, how picky are they with the pre reqs? Since theres only a few, I'd be able to complete at least half of them by spring but I should get most of them done if im lucky. I've got a 3.87 GPA with completion of IGETC.
