I'm premed and an undergrad at Cornell. How important is club involvement? Should I just be involved in maybe one or two clubs that are related to medicine/health? Because I don't want clubs to take too much of my time or my grades to suffer because of them. Thanks!

Clubs are really only important if you demonstrate leadership in them. Volunteering, shadowing, research, grades, MCAT scores, and jobs are much more important.

Clubs are a low-end EC to med schools. It’s fine if you aren’t involved in any clubs. At most, your time shouldn’t be divided into more than 1-2 clubs. There are much better extracurriculars out there.
