C’s are bad…but you’ve been showing improvement which is always good. Fortunately for you, freshman year is the least important year.

People can get into Princeton with lower gpas. Your gpa wont count you out, it’ll depend on ECs and test scores now to determine whether or not they accept you.

UPVG: no one is “okay” for Princeton. That’s just how the numbers stack up. However, as a senior, may I advise you to just go out with a bang? What’s done is done. You’ll have decisions to make in April. Don’t lurk on CC any longer. Have a blast in your last HS semester.

With that gpa/test score combo your chances aren’t great (my friend with a 34 ACT, 3.98 uw gpa got rejected). I guess it’d just depend on how good your ECs are.

Laeven - Well that’s your friend. I’ve heard of 4.0s and 2400s getting rejected…and people with much, much lower stats getting accepted. I understand that it’s a crapshoot…but on general terms, I just want to know if I’m “in the range” GPA-wise.
Also, Laeven, 3 of my B’s were during freshman year, one during sophomore year, and the C during sophomore year. Princeton doesn’t include freshman grades when calculating one’s cumulative GPA, so the 3 B’s that I got in my freshman year don’t matter. What I posted is all that they’ll see. So yes, my GPA is 3.94/4.4.

I think that I just answered my own question… yeah, I’m within range.

They might not calculate it into your gpa but Bs freshman year will still show up on your 4 year transcript. All I was saying is that if all you had was that gpa/test score combo then you’d probably be rejected. It’s all down to your ECs.
