oh geez…well my sat subjects scores …oh and reasoning or lower than urs. unfortunately. but i would LOVE to go to NYU. im also first generation and asian so idk. im sure theyre important but lets hope our other stuff outweighs it! or we’ll get over it in a few days if we dont get in : /

I don’t go to Stern, so I am not positive.
However, everyone I know who goes to Stern (some of my BBFs) are all math people. So, I would imagine, you need very high math scores to compete with them. Especially Asian. However, if you have a very high Writing/CL score they may want you to boost up their lack of creativity.
But, in the same breath, I know NYU takes A LOT into consideration. Your school, rank, extracurriculars, achievements-- what makes you different than the general population. I would have never thought I’d be at NYU now. And look, here I am.

hey what did you say? because i got my nov. SAT I scores and improved 70 points in math but and i already sent them with the free 4 score reports, but i dont know how to tell them…did you call them and ask them to look at it?

I did the same. I called admissions, asked them if they already looked over my application, and they told me no. Then they said they’d put a special note on mine to not be reviewed until my sat 2’s came in… but now that I got my scores… its gonna count against me

Regarding standardized testing, I’m in the opposite boat.

-SAT1 - 1860, 650 V, 580 M, 630 W
-SAT2, U.S History - 760
-SAT2, Spanish w/out listening - expected 770-800 this Saturday. Native speaker; haven’t taken any kind of Spanish course since 5th grade.

I’m also sending in the 5 on AP U.S History I got last year.

Blah if only my SAT1’s were better. They’re more important.
