How important are SAT II's to colleges?

<p>I know that not all colleges require (or reccomend) them, but for those that do, how important are the scores to them. Do schools require them just for statistical purposes, or do they use them along with SAT and ACT scores.</p>

<p>They use them as a confirmation for your grades. For example if you get an A in physics but only a 500 in your SAT2 they will pay atention to them. However if your SAT2s are similar to your SAT and GPA they really won't pay too much attention to them.</p>
