Throughout all of high school, I’ve only gotten B’s for one class in freshman year and one semester of a class in sophomore year. So basically I’m an A student for the most part, but I predict I’m going to have 2 or 3 B’s first semester senior year. Is that going to affect my admisisons chances a lot? I’m mostly applying to just UCs and CSUs. It’s not that I’m even slacking off or anything; the classes are just hard to get A’s in, I guess.
While senior year grades will not be visible for admission to UCs and CSUs if you apply as a high school senior, admission offers come with conditions on academic performance in senior year course work, as verified by your final high school transcript. Typically, you need to earn some minimum GPA with no D or F grades in the in-progress course work that you reported when you applied.
