<p>It depends on where you are thinking of applying. Some schools require them (sometimes specific tests), others don’t require but do recommend them, and the vast majority don’t require them at all.</p>
<p>Rule of thumb: Check the web sites for the schools you think you’ll apply to and plan accordingly. Note that special program within schools may require specific tests. Some very elite schools require them, some recommend them and some are silent. It’s all across the board.</p>
