My question is how important would an art portfolio be? I just realized I have to have a music rec for art portfolio and it’s due in 7 days; I don’t really want to bother my teacher and have her cram.

im actually also doing the same thing with the art portfolio, haha. at this point it is much too late, but im submitting one just because why not, you know? it shows you’re well rounded i guess? anyway, good luck to you too!
If you need they request it you should do it. Everyone else will do it thats serious about their application. Don’t give them a reason to put your app in the “no go” pile.
Dont worry about asking your teachers for a rec. They are paid employees. Thats their job.
