How important is HONOR GUARD?

So at our school, we have 'Honor Guard'. Basically, 'Honor Guard' assists graduates at graduation. However, from what I have heard, it's a pretty lofty title(we have to 'make' it in through application-selection process). So how important is Honor Guard in college admissions? Is it something that I should definitely keep?

My problem is that graduation is day before finals, and I really need to study.. (I have B+ in that class) So is Honor Guard THAT important?
You guys have that at your schools?

At my D's high school, they do not publicly rank students, nor do they provide any class ranking on transcripts. HOWEVER, they DO publicly announce, AND put the title of Class Marshal on the transcripts of the 10 junior class marshals, who just happen to be the top 10 ranked juniors. These marshals are the same as your "Honor Guards." Since being identified as a class marshal meant that she was "ranked" as one of the top ten students in her class, you better believe she put that title on all her applications.

Yes we do. The top 30 or so kids are accepted to honor guard in every junior class.

I personally rejected their "honor"... Too lazy. Honor guard just means your rank is high in my school... nothing else.

thing is, the people who get chosen aren't top anything. (i know i'm not top 30 students or whatever..) In fact, some people who got selected are really dumb (no offense to them, but yeah.. they're not smart at all)

will colleges know that our Honor Guard isn't chosen based on ranking? Or will they just assume that it's top (some #)?

So in general, it's something I should keep at the expense of risking not getting an A? (with the A, i would get 4.0 this semester so this A is pretty important)

BUMPBUMPBUMP!
i need to make decision by tomorrow :(

nothing special.

I'd say study instead.
