How important is senior year?

Okay, so Freshman year, I did pretty bad, lol.
Got 3.3 first semester, and 3.5 second semester.

However, Sophomore year, I was focused and got 4.17 and 4.3, and Junior year, 4.8, for both semesters hopefully.

If I were to get a B or two in senior year, would that look bad? I’m basically counting on the positive trend to get me in pretty competitive schools (UCLA, Cal, etc), and my Freshman grades have hindered me enough already lol. Thanks

UCLA and Cal do not look at senior grades for admissions. They only look at Sophomore and Junior year grades.

By the time you apply to colleges you likely won’t have any senior grades available so it generally doesn’t factor in for most schools. If admitted they can rescind you for poor performance (failing classes) and they will usually ask for updated transcripts to make sure. To my knowledge UCLA and Cal don’t factor in freshman or senior grades.

B or two…fine. C’s? Don’t do it
