They expect you to be able to do well in hard classes. If your grades show that you can't do that, it will work against you.

similar question....

i got Straight As sophomore year and junior year
if i get the following (aka 1 B) this year first sememster, it won't hurt me too bad will it?

AP US History-A
AP Physics-A
AP Psych-A
Multivariable Calculus-A
C++ Programming-A
AP Lit-B
Chemistry 101 (equivalent of AP Chem, actually more than it)-A

One B souldn't matter.

Multivariable Calculus sucks *****. Just wanted to let you all know.

It depends on the teacher though. Multivariable Calc was one of my fav classes, 'cause my teacher was a hilarious, Einstein-like genius (though problems on tests could take pages and hours to solve). The class brightened my day:)

Sorry to steal the thread a bit, but if I had one bad year (sophomore year) because of some personal problem and I crushd junior year, will one or 2 B+'s senior year make my comeback less meaningful?

I got a B in BC Calc first quarter senior year and still got in.

Yea this is the same case for me.
I have been taking weighted/AP courses ever since my Sophomore year, and have been Valedictorian since my freshman year at a large, competitive, public school in California, but I just recently got a B on Multivariable Calculus I took at a local college…=(
