How important are my senior grades 1st semester? I've had good grades up to this point, basically all A's, and ive taken mostly honors/AP classes. This year my grades aren't up to my usual standard, but I am taking challenging classes. Is this going to ruin my chances?

I was wondering that too… how much will one more B than usual make a difference?

sigh…i hope it doesn’t affect too much. I heard that junior grades are the most important anyway…

Senioritis is also killing me…hahaha, luckily I got only two more A-'s and both are AP classes…

that has been really worrying me too. i’m taking AP Calculus BC this year, and I might end up with a C in that class. i’ve never had a C in my life so of course i’m freaking out. my counselor said colleges wouldn’t care because they know how hard AP Calculus is. so apparently they aren’t too significant. but i really don’t know everyone says different things.

Same here!!! I totally wish I stop studying and rev up my social skills…hang out with my friends and family and get a girlfriend.

Screw this. I mean I’ll have plenty of time for academics once I get to college ;)

yea i agree! i want 2 enjoy my senior yr! but stanford is my dream and i dont want a slump in my grades to cause me to get rejected :(

I just found out my grades and eeeeekkkkk I have 3 Bs!!! I only had one B+ last year!!! IF you are taking the hardest courseload at your school and you have a ton of ECS that take up your time, I think the schools will just decide themselves whether its important or not. I know people who had 3 Bs and got into harvard

yea im in the same boat! I only had 1 B last year! I guess im not taking the hardest possible schedule (I do have 1 free block) but I’m taking the hardest classes that I had an option of taking.
