How involved were your parents?

My parents encouraged me to go to college, have $upported me, and gave me a pat on the back and hug when I stayed here.

I hear of parents doing stuff on their kid's TritonLink and what not... Things like PAC and PIDs are confidential, are they not? My parents don't know mine. I think if someone is going to UCSD...they should know how to deal with their own college admission process?

With all due respect to parents, it's time to let go.

sorry, just my 1 cent rant.

You are, probably, right - but in what way does it concern you, in the first place? :-)

I also think parents that do all the Tritonlink stuff for their "children" is kind of weird :/ haha

lol... i had typical asian parents so i was expected to go to college..and after i got my acceptance letters... they were like... oh... good job...
yeah...
and so basically i do everything myself.... but they pay for it every quarter.. actually i havent called/ visited them since winter break =P
yeah... parents who do that stuff are weird... haha were in college now! haha let go... lol

my mom doesn't want me going to california so she didn't do anything.

I filled out everything myself, my mom looked over essays because she's a writer...but other than that yeah its a maturity process.

Me: "Dad, I need your credit card to pay for the college application fee."
Dad: "Okay, let met go get it."

Literally all of my parents' involvement in this whole college thing. They immigrated from India and aren't too keen on this kind of stuff (And they didn't go to college themselves), so I'm doing all the researching and stuff.

same here but it is my mom who does that to me

so...

Me: "Mom, I need your credit card to pay for the college application fee."
