How is LMU's Liberal Studies/Elementary Education program?

I'm currently a community college interested in transferring to LMU. (Or maybe other schools, I'm not sure)
I have high hopes of one day becoming an elementary school teacher and I am not sure where to transfer. I hear LMU is beautiful and top notch and I'm eligible for something called Tuition Exchange, which could waive my tuition at LMU if I am awarded. However, in terms of Liberal Studies/Elementary Education, how is it? Are there any people who have gone to LMU and major in this and go through with it? Or should I go to a Cal State? Since I hear those schools are great for producing teachers. However, many of the Tuition Exchange schools are private schools, not cal states, and I want to take advantage of the free tuition. But I'm not completely sure. Am I making the right choice to going to LMU? I already have a course plan modeled out for me to transfer to LMU through this program, I'm just a little iffy to actually put it into practice. Your advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I don’t know about LMU but I know a lot of folks who went to CSULB to become elementary teachers and they loved it! Definitely more affordable but seems tough to register for GE’s if you haven’t already finished them.

Oh really? That’s pretty interesting to hear.
Yeah, I just started at a CC like a few months ago, so I don’t have much GE completed.
But, it’s never too early to start thinking about transferring.
I hope to make a smooth transition and ultimately go to a school I love.
