<p>i am thinking about transferring this fall 2012 as a sophomore and I am in a lot of leadership positions in the college i am transferring from and i have made great friends here so if Stonybrook doesn't have a thriving campus life i am not ready to leave the one i am in. Is there anything called mayfest at stonybrook, or big events that make eveyone come together or is it just study study study???</p>
<p>The residential life at Stony Brook is fine. There’s plenty of events – Strawberry Fest, Roth Regatta, etc. </p>
<p>Your transfer decision should be based on far more than social life. If you’re happy where you are, then stay there.</p>
