How is the new SAT superscored?

When they superscore the new SAT, do colleges take into account the subscores on the 15-point level (like Heart of Algebra, Command of Evidence, etc.) or do they just use the scores on the 800 point scale.

**On one of my SATs, I did better overall and on each of the 800 point sections, but I did worse on a few of the subscores on the 15 point level. So I’m wondering if it would hurt to send both SATs in? I’m wondering if it could somehow affect their decision.

They superscore based on 800 point sections. if you got 400 math 800 reading then 800 math 400 reading, then you’d have a perfect superscore.

So, do colleges really care about the subscores on the 15 point level? Will they even see those?

Colleges don’t care about the superscores, that is just for you. It usually doesn’t matter for most people, but some may see some strong strenghts and weaknesses across subscores that could help them prepare for the test in the future.
