I am about to pay the UCR housing deposit, but idk if housing is refundable…
it says CANCELLATION CHARGES:
Prior to 9/1/15 – $250 Liquidated Damages
All Contract Cancellation Requests submitted after the effective date of the contract will be assessed a $75 processing fee unless specifically noted.
Should I do it? can I get some refund if I cancel it next week(after get off on UCI waitlist…haha)?
I don’t believe you can get a refund for the housing deposit. Unfortunately, that’s a risk you’d have to take by being on the waitlist. I’m not too sure though, you’d have to do some research. I just wish the Universities would let us know what’s going on already. I’m not a freshman, but a transfer, so it’s even more agonizing each and every passing day, haha.
What does cap enrollment mean?

I’m on the waitlist but I also sent an “appeal” ( but more of a way to tell them I’m interested). Do you think this will increase my chances or will it hurt them? I was worried that they might consider me as one of those people who are trying to appeal (which very few get in).
I appealed myself. I know some schools don’t allow you to appeal while on the waitlist, but UCI does. I don’t really think it’ll affect your standing on the waitlist as they review your appeal separately, but I only recommend that you appeal if you know they made a mistake when reviewing your application or if you have something very compelling to share (which in my case, were documents proving some unique family situations).

A person’s friend got rejected from the uci waitlist a week ago
Most of us haven’t heard yet but if they forsure didn’t want us, they would’ve rejected us just like that person’s friend

i haven’t heard about anyone getting accepted or rejected from the waitlist yet… I think we all would’ve heard by now if that happened lol tomorrow’s the start of a new week! I’m hoping we hear news tomorrow! Whether it’s a rejection or an acceptance I just wanna know so I can figure out what to do with myself aha
Do we stand a good chance getting in? How come on the UC Net ID page it says by May 15 while on other pages like FB say we will know latest by June 1st? This wait is agonizing…
