@college101bound The people accepted early June could very well be transfers. I know that transfers are notified much later. I think freshmen have a deadline of knowing by June 1st and transfers are July 1st. Ugh.
I think it is better that the announcement is delayed. This way more students would have SIR’ed to their respective colleges, hence more seats available from uci waitlist.
I don’t know about you guys but this weekend has been soooo relaxing and stress free because I know nothing is happening
We will make it into UCI this fall!!

I think let uci take its time. This way they will have plenty of time to clear up those students who aren’t coming to uci, which will increase the chances of the waitlisted students.

Okay… this waitlist is killing me!!
I got waitlisted for uci, ucd, and cal poly pomona for chemical engineering.
I haven’t heard from ucd yet and just recently got off the waitlist for cal poly pomona.
Now i cant make a decision… should i go to cal poly or community college and do tag because i definitely want to transfer to a uc.
It would be harder for me to transfer from cal poly than community, since community colleges get first priority. However, tag would give me automatic admission into chemical engineering.
Please help me make a decision to whether i should go to cal poly or community by 5/12. If i get off the waitlist for uci, im definitely going, but im worried that i wont get in due to my stats. Hopefully, uci releases decisions today.

@serevicfrode well some people at my school asked my counselor about that and she said she would recommend going to cal poly > community college even if you wanted to transfer just in case you don’t get in when you try to transfer. but it’s honestly up to you what you want to do ^^
@serevicfrode I would go to CalPoly because getting the classes you want at CC is getting harder and harder due to the budget… they close more classes…
that means you might have to stay much longer to get the credits that UC requires.

I messaged the uci admissions Facebook page when will ADMITS me notified and they said may 15th…
@ethanchanner admits? so they are for sure admitting people?
I just called right now and asked if they were going to accept anybody this year, because in previous years like in 2013 they didnt accepted anybody at all and she said that they still don’t know yet, they’re still counting the the SIR’s and I told her how the website says this Friday so if we would for sure find out this Friday or could we even possibly find out after and she said that we could find out after May 15 but they are aiming for this Friday
Did you ask if there were going to be any decisions before may 15 ? Like this week?
