do you feel that the campus big or small? also is the maintenance of the campus crappy or good? i heard its integrated with the city of madison so iam guessing not too much green space? lastly i understand this is a problem with all public universities but do you feel that the student body/university is just too crowded or big?

oh last one. for real. how cold is it exactly during winter. i grew up in the northeast. would i still have a hard time adjusting?

the campus isnt all that big for a state school. Around 900 acres so 10 times smaller than stanford, half the size of maryland, and only 300 acres bigger than conn college and other LAC's. I think the smaller size has to do with it being in the city so everything can be together in close proximity. There seem to be about 6 or 7 streets that make up the entire campus but if you have to walk across the campus it can be a real hike.

They are going to renovate all of SS (the walkways, planters, etc.) a few blocks at a time over the next few years--needed but messy. There also is some new building proposed up near the Capitol.
