how is the wifi at sd?

not that great in most of the dorms. i lived in sixth and i didn’t have an ethernet cord for fall quarter and starting from like 2pm on mon-thurs, the internet blew **** until around 2 am or something. from 2 am to 2 pm, the internet is nice and fast and fine. i got my ethernet cord in winter quarter and it defeinitely helped, but during the peak hours the internet isn’t gonna be that great

the wireless at some of the other college dorms suck too cuz i went to some of the other dorms with my laptop and got *ty internet, and my friends get *ty internet too.

Marshall resident-halls (dorms) near the ERC side don’t get wifi :(

I was told that there is no wireless internet in Muir’s Tioga residential hall.

@HenryRuan… You got exactly what I meant when I said that.

@UCLAgurl… There is no wireless in Tioga as of right now. I’ve heard rumors that wireless might have been installed this summer, but thats a rumor and I cant comment on the validity of that. Overall though it doesnt matter because in Tenaya, the wireless in the rooms is pretty bad unless you have your own router that you register with ACMS and set up. The only time wireless is really handy is if you’re working in the main lounges.

This goes for everyone… you’re going to want to bring an ethernet cable

@lifeistough My suite in warren had great wi-fi. I could download movies (700mbs) in a minute or so on the wi-fi.

if you are at the very edge of Muir Tioga then you can get some Tenaya’s wireless.

Tenaya wireless is pretty good btw
