how is your college email address formatted?

I'm just curious to see how every college forms their email addresses.

Kenyon's format is last name, first initial @ Kenyon, or doej@kenyon.edu,
while friends at other schools have addresses more like john.b.doe@mascotmail.schoolname.edu which I think is ridiculous and overly complicated.

What about your school?

firstname.lastname@mail.schoolname.countrysuffix

This board lacks text editing options...

initials+number@collegeName.edu
or
firstName.middleInitial.lastName.numberIfDuplicate@collegeName.edu

Uncheck the "Automatically parse links in text" to post a longer address.

some schools allow students to pick their own but recommend comment formats like first initial-last name@school.edu
other schools use the last name followed by a portion of your student ID

firstname.lastname@students.olin.edu

whatever-you-happen-to-choose@mit.edu :)

anything-you-want@u.washington.edu

firstinitiallastname@macalester.edu
unless its already taken, then its
firstinitialmiddleinitiallastname@macalester.edu

initials+random3digit#@collegeinitials.edu

At my school it's last name, first and middle initial(in most cases although not in mines) .schoolname.edu

Mine is first initial then last part of last name. Mine doesn't have a number, but some people do have one at the end.

FirstInitialPartOfLastName@utk.edu

part of last name + random letters and numbers @ school . edu

lastname.firstinitial@nameofschool.edu

whateveryouwant@ucla.edu

lastnamefirstinitalmiddleinital@servername.schoolname.edu
People with long last names (like mine) have letters cut off so the whole string is 10 characters, and people with common names have numbers in theirs.

[Edit: There is not a space between the n and the a, it's just formating oddly]

for undergrad

for grad

firstinitial7lettersoflastname@ucsd.edu. BUT you can alias it to anything you want, for example, zoolander@ucsd.edu.

we were issued:
first.middle.last@student.college.edu

but I soon found out that others work:
first.last@student.college.edu
first.middleinitial.last@student.college.edu
