er I usually go to bed around 3 am (weekdays included) - sometimes because I have a lot of work and have too much going on in the day to do it, and other times because I procrastinate...there're always people up that late though

"No matter where you go to school you are going to encounter high/drunk morons..."

At least at schools with a big greek system they have their own houses.

Hockey? That's effing awesome!

I just had to answer this...dude to papers and friends and a tower of Mountain Dew, I haven't slept in 34 hours. That's not the norm though... But what a trip.

i go to bed like 4 am weekdays, 7 am weekends. literally. i'm VERY much a night person and i like to party on weekends.

there are quiet hours, so after 10 weekdays and 12 weekends you can get sleep.

This question has most likely been asked before, but in college do you generally get more or less sleep than in hs?

i think it depends on the person... some of my friends in college say they get more sleep than they did in hs cuz they don't have morning classes.. i have another friend that told me his sleep pattern hella changed... in college he sleeps in the afternoon and stays up all night lol

Up until 4:00 everyday waiting for UCI, lol.

lol coolman gets some sleep, i sleep around 1 or 2 cause i cant fall asleep i try to but i just cant fall asleep

I mostly sleep at 4:00 Am including weekdays. CC is addictive!

I am so much a morning person...but I also do crew, which gives me an excuse (6 am practices)

I've been doing pretty well on my sleeping habits recently. In bed by 1-2am most weeknights. I know that won't last though :(. I am SOO not a morning person, to the point where I could go to sleep at 9pm and still not be able to get up easily for my 8:30 class.

4-5 AM

When I have insomnia (which is frequent) this can turn into 7-- which is not too fun actually.

My situation:

Community College Student
17 Credits
15 hour a week part time job
11 or so hour a week volunteering

Usually get to bed around 11PM, although I usually watch TV for an hour or more, then get up at 7:15.

I never, ever procrastinate (a combination of interest and motivation has allowed me to finish the required 3 five page research papers plus an honors paper for history, and I am starting to right for Saint Cloud State) so I can screw around the remainder of the time.

This will not change much when I transfer, because I have found that it is cheaper to drive a two hour round trip everyday.

It looks like people are sleeping at 3:00am, that might be a problem for me.

See at about 1:00am I start getting cranky, like cranky enough to where if someone was messing on with my stuff I probably attack them. My mood is awful by 1:30am. I have never done an all nighter because the amount of work I do by 3:00am will be the same as the work done by 5:00am. Also any less then 6 hours of sleep, I become a anti-social person. When people take to me in that state, I almost feel as if they could have nothing better to do then to talk to me. But normally I am a very social and friendly guy. Its kind of werid.

See about a year ago I would wake up at 7:30am-to 8:30am every day and get to sleep about 11 every night even on weekends. I am in my junior year of high school and the only thing that has changed is that my last years hours have been only pushed back by 1 hour. During the summer I would wake up at 7:30 am and go for a run. Yeah, I have never done a lan party unlike my asian counterparts.

I really might be the werid person that sleeps at 12 every night.

Your sleeping patterns will change in college. In HS, I'd go to bed around 11-- many times in the hour between 10 and 11. Staying up to 1am finishing work was a rare occurrence that would put me in the very worst mood possible for a day. I probably get on average... 7 hours of sleep a night, and that's pretty good for me. I've realized that it's a lot easier to take naps during the day in college, and that can alter my nighttime sleep pattern (especially if it's a nap so long that I don't do any work that day!). Also-- there's all sorts of distractions and a roommate with a sometimes differing work/sleep schedule. Of course I could stand to get more sleep a night, but I also value sleep more often. The nights that I essentially pull all nighters, the following night I'll get at least 12 hrs of sleep (assuming I have little work). Any night when I can get a decent amount of sleep, I'll do it rather than try to visit with friends and amuse myself.

I usually wake up at 7:45 and sleep at 1 am. I have to balance a job, CC, and massive amounts of homework. It IS true at in college, everything will change.

well we're gonna see how late i stay up tonight..... It is currently 1:00am EST. I have work to do, I drank a large amount of coffee, and I'm sick. This is going to be a FABULOUS night....

I don't seem able to get to bed early in college... among school, activities, and friends. I think that my attitude is that we'll sleep plenty when we're dead. If I was hit by a car tomorrow, it would be ashame to have spent so much of my time asleep. My general day is like this: Get up at around 8:30-9:00 (telling myself that I'll get to take a nap after class). Then going to class, lunch, etc... In the afternoon, I either end up having lab, volunteering, doing work, working out, wasting time with friends, or realizing something that I've promised some group I'll do. Then dinner, meetings that take forever and then I end up visiting friends and then it gets late and I have a lot of work to do and, since I try to be a good student, I do work until reallllly late. Then finally go to bed and wonder where the time went, but it's all good. Weekends, I spend the days volunteering and doing some work and then the nights out with my friends.

What more could I want? I feel as though I'm making at least a bit of difference through extracurriculars in service and activism. I am doing well well in school--good grades, learning, etc. My friends are great. I have soo much fun. I love my life. Trying to fit in more sleep would mean taking away from something else, and I wouldn't want that.

Well... update on my last post. I made it to about 4am then decided to collapse since I had a 9am class.
