I guess the title speaks for itself. The college I really want to go to has a deadline in March(and the college is close to where I live), so when would be the time to apply for that college?First of all I was wondering when you think the ideal time would be, but I'd also like to know(just in case) when you think would be the latest time I could mail it and still have it arrive in time.(Of course, even though my #1 college has a March deadline, some other colleges I'm interested in have earlier or later dates.)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

As soon as the application opens up

If it is a school with rolling admission as soon as you feel that you have completed the application to the best of your ability.

The answer to this question depends on a few factors.

As ArtsyGirl says, if the college that you’re interested in practices rolling admissions–that is, they review students’ applications shortly after they’re received, and usually offer admission or decline to offer it shortly after that–then you want to apply as soon as you can meet all the requirements (testing, letters of recommendation, etc.) and do a good job on the rest of your application. If you’re applying to a college that practices rolling admissions, you want to apply while there are still plenty of openings in next year’s entering class.

If you’re applying under a more traditional early action, early decision or regular decision program, then IMO the date you want to target is about 10-14 days before the application is due. That gives you as much time as possible to include any awards or accomplishments you have in the fall of senior year, and it still leaves you time to work around any problems with submitting your application, such as your computer crashing, or the power going out because there’s a blizzard, or the college’s server crashing.

Redhuntinghat, maybe a better time for me to apply for college would be before I start college,LOL.
But anyway, thanks to everybody for the help(and the joke).I plan on applying for college with plenty of time left regardless, but I wanted to know just in case. Now I think I have everything planned out well enough that time shouldn’t be a problem. Thanks again.
